- Dental ExaminationAlthough it will require a dental exam to determine the exact reason for your dental crown procedure, following are some of the more common reasons that the treatment is performed by general, family, and cosmetic dentists in...
- X-raysDepending on your highly unique needs, you may have to make two or three visits to our dental offices to get your dental veneers. The treatment procedure begins with a thorough diagnosis and treatment planning phase. The initial stage of treatment planning involves a careful examination of your teeth, which may include dental x-rays. Afterward, our dentist prepares your teeth by removing some enamel to make room for the veneers. Then the dentist takes a mold or impression of your teeth. This impression is sent to the dental lab where the veneers are made.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningAn oral cancer screening is an examination of the oral cavity to identify precancerous or cancerous conditions. At KK Dental, we encourage all our patients to undergo oral cancer screening at least once a year. For particular patients who are at a higher risk for oral cancer, we recommend coming in twice a year for a screening. High-risk patients include heavy smokers, people who have a personal or family history of cancer, and anyone who has had a recent HPV diagnosis.
- Teeth CleaningGum disease forms when plaque on your teeth hardens to tartar leading to the inflammation of your gums. Poor dental hygiene often leads to the accumulation of plaque and tartar. That’s why you must brush and floss every day to prevent this build-up. Following this up with regular dental cleanings at KK Dental will prevent periodontal disease. When left untreated, gum disease can lead to bad breath, bleeding gums, and tooth loss.
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeVeneers are thin custom-made layers of porcelain or composite resin material that are bonded to the tooth surface to change the appearance of a tooth. Veneers are permanent—the procedure is irreversible. Dental veneers treat a variety of dental problems, including discoloration, chipping, misalignment, worn-down teeth and gaps between teeth.

- BridgesWhen it comes to missing teeth, our patients at KK Dental have a few viable options for restoration. One of the most common solutions is known as a dental bridge. As the name suggests, a dental bridge quite literally bridges gaps among teeth. It is a false prosthetic tooth that replaces the missing tooth and is supported by anchoring or abutment teeth on either (or just one) side.
- Dental Bonding
- Restorative DentistryYou may have heard about a dental crown procedure – sometimes called a dental cap procedure – but unless you’ve been told that you need one, you may not have been paying attention to this amazing restorative dental procedure to know how it can improve the quality of your smile. At KK Dental, we’ve performed countless dental crown procedures for patients just like you in our comfortable dentist office, and we’re happy to provide the following information to help you get more acquainted with how the procedure can help in your restorative dentistry, too!
- Root Canal TreatmentWhile root canal treatments are ideally meant to be permanent fixes to a dental problem, there are instances when the problem recurs. After a root canal procedure, you may find yourself experiencing pain in your affected tooth. You shouldn’t feel any pain in a tooth that has undergone endodontic—or root canal—treatment. As such, any instances of pain demand that you book an appointment for what is known as endodontic retreatment. Endodontic retreatment, as the name suggests, is the additional treatment that our dentist performs to facilitate the healing of your affected tooth.
- ApicoectomyIn all of these cases mentioned above, apicoectomy allows the patient to save a tooth that would otherwise not be saved using non-surgical means.
- Deep CleaningScaling and root planing are dental procedures performed on patients who have periodontal disease. Scaling and root planing are often collectively referred to as deep cleaning, and are more time and resource-intensive in comparison to regular teeth cleaning. By scheduling your scaling and root planing appointment with KK Dental, you can save your teeth and gums from the damage brought on by extensive gum disease.
- DenturesTooth loss can be debilitating and have a large negative impact on your life. Missing teeth could make it difficult to enjoy activities such as speaking, eating, chewing, and smiling. Feeling nervous about smiling is no way to live life. At KK Dental, we offer high-quality dentures as a way to restore your teeth and boost your confidence.

- Osseous SurgeryPeriodontal or gum disease is the inflammation of the gums caused by a build-up of bacterial plaque in the mouth. Mild to moderate cases of gum inflammation can be treated using non-surgical methods such as scaling and root planing. If periodontal disease is left untreated to the point of significant bone loss, surgical intervention may be required. Osseous surgery refers to the surgical recontouring of jawbone to restore your mouth after an episode of severe periodontal disease.
- Tooth ExtractionsRidge or socket preservation is a dental procedure that’s performed to prevent bone loss after tooth extraction. Usually, after an extraction, it’s common for the jawbone to shrink or narrow through a physiological process known as resorption. Resorption involves the breakdown of bone minerals by osteoclasts.
- Bone GraftingBone grafting can build up areas with inadequate bone due to previous injuries, extractions, or gum disease. The grafting material is taken either from the patient’s own body or from a tissue bank. A sinus augmentation at KK Dental is also done to add bone to the posterior upper jaw. Also, special dissolvable membranes may be used to protect the grafting material and encourage regeneration. This is called guided tissue regeneration or guided bone regeneration.
