Powerpro Texas started in Deming, New Mexico as Mining Supply Company ( MSC ) in 1983. Throughout the years, MSC grew into a larger company supplying remanufactured components to some of the largest mining companies in the world. MSC distributed electric starters, alternators, air starters, diesel engines, transmissions, final drives, and even on site repair of EMD engines throughout the United States and Latin America. In the early 1990's MSC became an authorized distributor of TDI Development, Inc air starter products. It wasn't long before MSC invested in becoming a major remanufacturer of TDI starters, along with Ingersoll Rand and Starmaster product lines. In 1993, MSC expanded our area or responsibility to include the Republic of Mexico. By 1995, MSC made its first international sale of TDI starters to Petroleos Mexicanos ( PEMEX ), Mexico's nationalized petroleum company. In October 2005, MSC expanded operations into South Texas under the name Powerpro Texas. The diversification into the Oil & Gas and Marine market in the Gulf Coast region of the United States has been a very successful decision. Our years of experience and large in stock inventory, quickly earned us the reputation of the Go To Company. Opening the Powerpro Texas operation has added a new and exciting market to our goals. Powerpro Texas is making long term commitments to our clients and future customers.
