The agency also offers a variety of rehabilitation programs and counseling services. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice Victim provides personal service to victims and their families. It additionally provides financial assistance, as well as a range of health care services. The agency s human resources division develops and implements activities and programs related to recruitment, staffing, and employee classification, compensation and benefits. In addition, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice maintains a victim advisory council that consists of more than 30 representatives from victim advocate groups, state agencies and local victim service providers.
