VHA Upper Midwest operates through human resources, home care and radiology departments. It is a part of VHA, which is a health care provider alliance of more than 2,000 nonprofit health care organizations. Founded in 1977, the association has more than 15 office locations throughout the United States. It provides supply chain management services and facilitates the development of member networks. The association also provides education and networking services through a variety of classroom, peer and online learning. Additionally, it offers clinical improvement and information analytics services. The association also has a health foundation to improve individual and community health by promoting new and effective models of health and health care. Its funding partners are Amgen, Ansell Healthcare and Amersham Health.
