Since 1742, our pub has been a gathering place for the hungry and curious, the traveler and local. A part of Marthas Vineyard history, The Newes has passed through many hands, including William Kelley. A legendary storyteller, patrons often came just to hear him tell a tale or two, or share a bit of news. good food - we had the raw bar sampler, philly sushi rolls for the kids and fish and chips. sit outside and see the harbor.
One of the best values for dining on Martha's Vineyard, the Newes From America has an excellent bar menu, some of the best buffalo wings I have ever eaten, top notch offerings of American beers and ales all in a quaint atmosphere making this pub a favorite for both visitors and locals. There is no pretence, just honest fare, and good beer in an intimate setting harkening back to a simpler time.
