Home Spec of NC has been in the fields of construction, remodeling and building science for more than 35 years and retains its NC contractors and plumbing licenses. Utilizing our 18 years as a licensed home inspection company, we conduct a thorough and complete inspection of residential and commercial properties in northeastern North Carolina and southeastern Virginia, including the Albemarle area, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Ahoskie and Williamston. We are also certified in indoor environmental testing and are able to address such concerns as mold and lead based paint, In addition, we're certified by the state to do septic and waste water system inspections to assure there is no sizing inaccuracies, functional failures or improperly piped systems. All inspections include a digital report with photos. Major areas of inspection include Foundation and structure Heating and cooling systems Interior and exterior Electrical Plumbing and baths Kitchens. Teamed up with Hayman Residential Engineering Services, we are able to collect information needed for Hayman Residential Engineered Services to issue a foundation report that most lenders require for such properties as manufactured homes, certificates for new or existing foundations, FHA/HUD compliant permanent foundations, VA permanent foundations and module homes. We also offer regular inspections of your crawl space and attic for routine maintenance issues. Home Spec of NC, Inc. can conduct home energy audits to be able to tell you the efficiency of your appliances, heating and air systems, windows, insulation and air sealing. We will accomplish the complete weatherization procedures that are specified in the home energy audit report. We will also conduct a fully certified Building Performance Institute Building analysis and will guide you in learning where your home is losing or wasting energy, prioritize what changes will make the most improvement and then discuss the cost, payback and return percentage
