“Treat your patients like you’ll treat your family.” This has been my motto ever since I started my medical training. My journey as a physician started through graduate medical education in India. Thereafter, I trained as an Ophthalmologist in India before proceeding to United Kingdom to further my medical experience. My clinical experience has been deeply enriched by working in a geographically, culturally and socioeconomically varied population base. Through these experiences I realized my passion for family medicine, which allows me to connect with my patients as a person and not a diagnosis. I completed my Family Medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network Bethlehem, Pa. I am also a board certified family physician. I enjoy seeing young kids as much as I would do caring for their grandparents. My special interest is in Ophthalmology and Dermatology. I see life as a blessed journey with some challenges rather than a bundle of problems. As a physician, I strive to help my patients overcome medical challenges and live a fuller life. I thank all my patients past and present, who are the greatest teachers for any physician. Lehigh Valley is home to me. My husband is a physician as well and we have a lovely daughter who loves traveling and long car rides. Hence, no surprise that traveling is a family hobby. As any mom would, pampering my daughter is my favorite pastime. I hope that there’s a day when an illness does not exist. Until then, there will be a doctor to help.
