NEARI, also known as The New England Adolescent Research Institute (NEARI), is a nonprofit agency that was incorporated in 1985. It offers a variety of educational and treatment services to at-risk children and youths. The agency operates NEARI Day School, which is a Massachusetts-licensed special education day school for children and youths with neurological, emotional and learning disabilities. It serves students between the ages of 8 and 22 in elementary, middle and high schools. The agency s NEARI Jump-start is an after-school prevention program for at-risk youths. NEARI also operates an assessment and educational resource center for teachers, students and parents who are looking for integrated approaches to address unsolvable learning and relational problems in children and youths. It has a publishing company that publishes works to support education and treatment of high-risk children and youths. NEARI is located in Holyoke, Mass.
