Blake Equipment Company, based in Bloomfield, Conn., is the home office for 11 branches located throughout New England and New York state. The company was started by Wilson Blake in 1930 as The Wilson C. Blake Company. The Wilson C. Blake Company primarily sold and serviced equipment that generated and controlled large volumes of hot water for industrial and institutional applications. In 1967, Richard Cuda purchased the company and changed its name to the Blake Equipment Company. Blake Equipment s customers range from industrial plants to local plumbing contractors including mechanical contractors, municipalities, schools and hospitals. Blake Equipment offers boilers and accessories to produce high and low pressure steam, hot water and thermal fluid. It stocks parts for and services all equipment sold. Its service department includes 12 service technicians each with a fully equipped service van, two aftermarket personnel, a service manager and a parts manager.
