DeWitt Town Supervisor s Office is responsible for the adoption of resolutions, ordinances and local laws as well as approving budgetary items. The city is governed by a town board consisting of the supervisor and six council members charged with various duties. The Office is headed by a supervisor who is elected for a two year term and is the presiding and chief fiscal officer of the board. The office is responsible for commencing meetings, investigating matters related to the DeWitt Town, heading enquiries and reporting to the citizens.
