My family and I went to the restaurant last night for dinner. We had a certificate from restaurant.com for $25 off $35.00. When it was time for the bill the waitress said we were a little short of the $35.00 and we had to get something else. We were short by $.03. We were not told it was only 3 cents. We ended up having to buy a dessert to bring home. A wedge of cake was $7.00 plus tax and tip. An additional $9.00 it cost us because we were 3 cents short. I will never go there again. Just putting my 2 cents in. Keep the penny.

I have to say that I absolutely loved the food at this place! I went on a very busy friday night and had to wait about 30mins to be seated. It took a while to get out food, there was a full house and the kitchen must have been overwhelmed. I have to say that one bite of my chicken rollatine erased any doubts I may have had in my mind! My husband had the surf and turf which was cooked to perfection. We finished the night with a huge piece of spumoni, which they make right in the restaurant. The waitstaff was very helpful and personable. I thought it was a very nice touch that the chef/owner also made rounds to all the tables. Thank you Deck Forty Two, you will be seeing us again and again.

My husband and I visited this restaurant the day after Valentine's Day to celebrate. I could not think of a better place to go for a romantic evening. The decor was absolutely beautiful- candlelight, fresh flowers on the tables, and a STUNNING view of the water and Providence skyline. The service was personable, cheerful, and professional. The menu provided a variety of foods that are very well priced. We shared clam cakes and clam chowder to start out the meal and we were very impressed. The clams were clearly fresh and the chowder was definitely New England-worthy. I had the chicken rollentini and it had to be one of the best chicken dishes I've ever eaten. My husband had the baked haddock and it was not only perfectly cooked and well- seasoned, but the sauce was also a perfect compliment to the dish. The dessert was the finale to the evening. We had a flourless chocolate torte and it was sheer ecstasy. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant time and time again!
