FAMILYConnections is a provider of professional counseling and educational services to individuals, children and families. Established in 1879, the organization is a private, nonprofit agency that serves more than 1,000 individuals and families annually. It offers therapeutic in-home and in-school programs. The organization was earlier known as the Family Service and Child Guidance Center. FAMILYConnections provides outpatient mental health counseling for individuals, couples and families, as well as psychiatric services for people diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness. The organization also offers advocacy and support services for caregivers. It is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services and is a member of the New Jersey Association of Mental Health Agencies. FAMILYConnections maintains a location in Orange, N.J.
