Mapleshade School is an elementary school that serves approximately 300 students in grades three through five. The school offers special classes in various subjects, including art, music and physical education. Its core curriculum includes English, science, math, reading, social studies and language arts programs. Mapleshade School s library houses a variety of storybooks, picture dictionaries, puzzles, and fiction and nonfiction books. The school employs subject teachers, psychologists, guidance counselors, librarians and reading specialists. In addition, it provides special and gifted and talented education programs. Mapleshade School has a parent-teacher organization that organizes fundraising events for enrichment programs, field trips, book fairs, family nights and a teacher appreciation week. The school is located in East Longmeadow, Mass. It is governed by East Longmeadow Public Schools.
