The East Longmeadow Police Department preserves peace, enforces laws and ordinances, protects residents lives and properties and arrests law violators. Its staff includes more than 10 full-time officers, sergeants, office personals, and time custodian and a police chief. The department provides a uniformed patrol response to reports of suspicious activity, criminal investigations, investigation of electronic alarms, and traffic control and enforcement. It also operates a communication center that provides emergency medical, police and fire services. The East Longmeadow Police Department s proactive services include the School Resource and Seniors and Law Enforcement Together program (SALT), Police Review of Community Development, Crime Prevention Assistance and a Directed Patrol Strategy that is guided by incident analysis and community input. It is located in East Longmeadow, Mass.
