Michael K. McLeod, MD, MBA, FACS, FACE, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified endocrine surgeon. He is a professor and chief of endocrine surgery in the Department of Surgery at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. Dr. McLeod is a graduate of Weil Cornel Medical College in New York, NY. He went on to complete a general surgery residency at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI. He then completed a research fellowship in endocrine surgery at Rhode Island Hospital at Brown University in Providence, RI. In addition, Dr. McLeod is board-certified from the American Board of Surgery in general surgery. He also earned a Masters in Business Administration from The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management. Dr. McLeod's clinical interests include adrenal diseases, parathryoid and thyroid. His research focuses on hyperparathyroidism, surgical quality & hospital performance and patient engagement.
