Thermatool, a subsidiary of Inductotherm Corporation of Rancocas, N.J, supplies welding, heating, cutting and bundling equipment to the tube and pipe industry worldwide. It offers solid state contact and induction welding units from 50 Kw output to 2000 Kw output for operation at frequencies from 100 Khz to 800 Khz. It also offers complete systems for tube bundling, high frequency welded I and H beams, high frequency welded spiral fin tube for high temperature boiler applications and normalizing of carbon steels. Historically, its business has been heavily export-oriented with the company doing more than fifty percent of its total business outside of the United States. The company was founded in 1952 as New Rochelle Tool Group and is headquartered in East Haven, Conn. In 1989, Thermatool moved to a new 80,000 square foot plant in East Haven.
