- Bed BugsAbove is a picture of a typical bat roosting spot we find in Cheshire CT. When I lifted up the flashing 23 big brown bats came flying out. The gap between the shingles and the chimney was about three inches and bats were all over the attic. I ended up putting two bat one way doors on this spot. The owners at this Cheshire home said they counted 36 bats coming out that night before it got too dark to count. A colony of 70 bats is a large colony in CT. If you zoom in on the picture you can see the droppings and maybe a bat bug or two. Bat bugs look like bedbugs, so if you know you have bats make sure to tell the exterminator because the treatment for each is different. For bat removal in Cheshire give me a call 510-6313. - BatsBat removal is a specialty business, bat removal experts are few and far between. Lately I have been doing inspections on homes who have had many “bat experts” out inspecting their homes. These “bat experts” have been filling home owners heads with complete BS to put it bluntly. They have been telling people bats are getting in at locations that are impossible for bats to access. This brings me to point number one.
- MolesReceiving calls to Get rid of groundhogs from under sheds and decks is a common service provided from spring until fall every year in Connecticut.. Not to be confused with moles, woodchucks do not leave tunnels in your lawn. No animal will make a gardener angrier than the groundhog. First off groundhogs will eat just about anything growing including “deer proof” plants. Secondly, It is not uncommon for them to pick one color of flower to eat and touch no other flowers until every flower no matter what species is consumed. I prefer to use traps that go over the woodchucks hole. These positive set woodchuck traps need no bait and will only catch the animals living in the burrow.

- SnakesAnd did a thorough inspection of my home. He identified all the points of entry, gave me the options to addressing the problem, and explained how to be proactive for future deterrence. Even though he was there for snakes he walked my property and pointed out some coyote activity. I am brand new to CT with two small dogs and I couldn' be more grateful for this information. He really knows his stuff and he was patient with all my questions of topics far beyond snakes. You can tell he loves what he does. I'm so much more at ease by having that knowledge of what to look out for now. He really went above and beyond. Support your Veterans, call RF Wildlife.
- WildlifeIn addition to my experience in wildlife control, I have a military background, having served in the US Army with MOS’s 11B, 95B, and 95C. After an honorable discharge, I became one of the first Helmets to Hardhats soldiers in Connecticut and joined the local 24 carpentry union. However, my passion for wildlife control led me to start my own Nuisance Wildlife Control business, RF Wildlife, in 2010. Initially, I worked part-time while also pursuing carpentry work, but eventually, I was too busy with wildlife control, and I had to make a choice. I decided to quit carpentry and focus solely on wildlife control, which I have been doing ever since.

Colony’s can range from as little as 5 – 200 big brown bats. Largest I have seen I stopped counting at 178 bats. Big is a relative term they are no bigger than a sparrow, but waking up to a bat flying around your bedroom in Cheshire they can seem the size of a tetradactyl.
- SparrowsThe most common Connecticut problem bat species that invades human dwellings are the big brown bat. Big brown bat removal are about the size of a sparrow and are the number one cause of bat removal in CT. 99% of all bat colonies I evict from homes are big brown bats ever since White Nose syndrome came through decimating Connecticut’s Little Brown bat population. Little Brown Bats are the bats that used to help control our mosquito population in the state. Notice the past few years how our mosquito issues have climbed. I will get into our two most common Bat species on further pages of this new site. Bat exclusion is the only way to deal with Bat control problems. No poison is authorized for bat extermination.
