Louis Armstrong Middle School, located in East Elmhurst, N.Y., is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades five through eight. The school has a student strength of more than 1,500 and offers subjects, such as English, mathematics, social studies, science, business computer science, American history, health and physical education, music and art. It also offers a number of sporting activities, such as baseball, basketball, football, swimming, cross-country, track, soccer and athletics. The school has a band, orchestra and chorus. The parent-teacher association of the school involves parents in school and community activities to aid the educational process.
