Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative, a subsidiary of Arkansas Electric Cooperative, is a transformer manufacturing facility located in Dyersburg, Tenn. The facility is certified to the ISO-9000/2000 quality standard. In 2000, ERMCO began production of three phase padmounted transformers in a facility adjacent to the single-phase plant. ERMCO manufactures single-phase transformers in both the polemount and padmount design. The kilovolt-ampere range on polemount transformers is 5 kVA through 250 kVA and on padmounts the range is 10 kVA through 167 kVA. ERMCO manufactures three phase padmount transformers from 30 kVA through 1500 kVA. ERMCO's components include circuit breakers, fuses, fuse holders, bushings, switches and tap changers.
