The Durham Emergency Communications Center specializes in a variety of medical dispatch services. The center is administered by the City of Durham in North Carolina. It provides 24 hour emergency response solutions for protecting properties and lives. The Durham Emergency Communications Center maintains a public safety answering point for the citizens. The center is equipped with fully enhanced 9-1-1, computer-aided dispatch and radio systems that serve countywide. In addition, it maintains emergency callback lists for city, county, state and private utility service providers, as well as other support agencies. The Durham Emergency Communications Center also responds to vehicle accidents and fire emergencies.
