Great location if you are taking the train (D&SNGRR) to Silverton and back. You can walk to the train station. The room and bathroom were clean. However, parking was a problem. It's located in the historic downtown area. There was not enough parking spaces for the # of rooms. The hotel parking lot was full. There was no where to park outside the hotel because it was 1 -2 hour parking only in parking lots and parking meters. I walked in and told the clerk that we had to cancel are reservation because there was no where to park. She was kind enough to move her car and gave us her parking space. We walked to the train and eat at the Mexican place next door. If you stay at this hotel, you can't move your car or you will not have a parking spot when you get back. So it's fine, if you are just taking the train and leaving the next day. But if you want to explore Durango or doing other activities, I would find another hotel. Price was hight, but avg for Durango (pricey).
