Durand City Hall is governed by the city of Durand in Michigan. The city government manages police, fire department, and public works and utilities departments. Its parks and recreation department maintains several lighted basketball courts, softball fields and picnic pavilions. In addition, the department sponsors summer recreation activities and offers a variety of playground equipment on a rental basis. The city government operates a waste-water treatment plant that conducts the inspection of wastewater plumbing connections throughout the city. Its public works department is responsible for street sweeping, brush collection, snow removal and road salting duties. The department also provides maintenance solutions for water and sewer systems.
