Area Agency on Aging provides funds for more than 30 senior nutrition centers that offer over 1,800 afternoon meals five days a week. The agency organizes a range of social activities for senior citizens. It administers an ombudsman program that advocates for the rights of people living in long-term care facilities. The agency also offers regional planning and development services for senior citizens. Area Agency on Aging is a department of ASCOG Supportive Services Division, which is operated by the Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments. ASCOG Supportive Services Division s managed care services department offers case management services for senior citizens aged 60 and older.
