They should drop the "Control" from their name and just be "Anthem Pest", because that is what they are. I signed up for a year of service and received the initial treatment. Honestly can't speak for the effectiveness, because we still saw various bugs in the house. Had the second treatment, which was outside only. Everything was OK, but still some bugs around. Time came for the third treatment. I meant to text and postpone because we had a big renovation project going on, but I had some big projects going on at work and I forgot. The fellow comes to the house and my wife asks him to come later. Now starts the pestering. Someone from the office is calling me, but as I said I am busy at work. So they call my wife, which is fine. But now they get to hear from her about how she called and called to get them to do a re-retreatment earlier and they never responded. Next thing we know they apparently took her complaint as a "cancellation", so they want to bill us more than the cost of two treatments as a cancellation fee. No one said we wanted to cancel. So she calls back and leaves a message. We get a few voicemails over the course of several days, but with end-of-year things going on at work and the holidays at home, scheduling a pest treatment was just not top-of-mind. So now Anthem begins acting like an obnoxious collection agency, calling and sending texts that we owe them the cancellation fee. I kid you not, I got a text around xmas saying I was on the "naughty list" and I should make payment if I wanted Santa to bring me anything. So instead of waiting a few weeks for a customer to get around to scheduling a quarterly treatment, they would rather treat us like a delinquent borrower trying to skip on a bill. We could have been a regular customer at $100/quarter, but I guess they would rather have $209 now. Happy to pay them just to be rid of them. So unless you need someone calling and texting you constantly hounding you for your pest appointment, give these folks a pass. You don't need the hassle. If you already have pests, you don't need one more.
