I loved when I had my son in this daycare for over a year. Unfortunately there was a week the daycare was closed due to sickness, and then another week they were closed because the owner was on vacation, and upon returning from vacation my son went one more week before being told they no longer had a spot for him in 2 weeks and she also said that the following week they had another vacation. It felt rude that I paid for the last 3 weeks for him to go 1 week and then to be told that my son no longer had a spot in two weeks yet I was still expected to pay for that week and his last week. So 3 out of 5 weeks he didn't attend/wasn't attending I was still expected to pay for a daycare spot that in the end wasn't even his anymore. So I of course pulled him so I didn't have to pay for the last few weeks they weren't even going to be open half of the time for anyway. Her reasoning was essentially that part time children weren't profitable like her fulltime ones were. Understandable buuttttt she was in dire need of a spot for another mom who already had a fulltime kiddo and recently had another baby and I think booting my son and another part time child gave her the space she needed. When I pulled him from daycare 2 weeks before his kick out date I made sure to send a genuinely kind email thanking them for everything and received the coldest most standard "thank you for your business" reply ever. Kind of heartbreaking from someone I trusted and who spent so much time with my child. She spent over a year with my child and couldn't spare a: "It was a pleasure to have him" or "he made so much progress", or "his friends will miss him", nothing. It left a sad sour taste in my mouth. I truly wish them the best, they were a wonderful daycare, but the end of our relationship really put into perspective that my son was just a number for them.
