I was very disapointed with my first visit to Applebees in Dublin.I had never been to that chain before, but had heard it was great so I went to try it outThere was noone to greet me when I came in. I waited awhile and then wandered to the bar to see if I could find someone to wait on me. In the meantime, I used the men's room and it was NOT clean. My waiter, while pleasant, did not seem to know the menu very well.The steak I ordered (medium as in pink in the center) was overcooked. The broccoli was steamed and virtually tasteless. I had to ask for toppings for my baked potatoe, none came with it (chives and bacos which are customary). The price for a glass of domestic wine was outrageous at $ 7.00 (you can buy whole bottles of acceptable wines for that price).I had to ask for nuts for my Sunday, which are customary with an Ice Cream Sunday. Ab;out the only part of the meal which was OK was the baked potatoe. I will not return and I will pass the word. Needs to live up to it's name.
