United Electric Cooperative is member-owned electric cooperative offering services to members in Armstrong, Cambria, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Forest, Indiana and Jefferson counties in Pennsylvania. The Cooperative operates an electric system spanning more than 7,000 square miles. It maintains over 2,700 miles of line with 20 substations and more than 50 employees. It offers a wide range of electric services, including overhead service, mast type service, trailer overhead, permanent buildings, underground and temporary services. United Electric also provides a variety of value-added services, such as heat pumps, load management, meter pole, surge tamer, transfer switches and water heater services. The cooperative is located in DuBois, Pa.
