I was thrilled to see Panera recently, and came in to buy bakery goods as a thank you gift for a police department. I was greeted by lovely staff and was dismayed to learn I could not purchase cookies by the pound. I thanked the friendly servers and promised to be back for lunch when Louise inquired about my predicament and began to offer alternatives. I left with an array of cookied, bagels, breads rolls beautifully wrapped and with butter and cream cheese ~ I planned to place everything in a large basket and this made a handsome gourmet presentation and was a far superior and unique gift and the recipients had delicious choices as they enjoyed their snacky gift throughout their work days. I plan to be in for more of this many times throughout the holiday! Louise was a sweetheart and efficiently handled my purchase while she assigned staff to cover customers coming in, delegated the beautiful wrapping of my selections.
