The Chippewa Township Fire Department, also known as CTFD, offers emergency medical services to the residents of Wayne County in Ohio. It operates a fleet of pumpers, ambulances, tankers and heavy-duty rescue units. The department conducts firefighting training sessions. The Chippewa Township Fire Department administers a fire prevention program. It also provides fire investigation, hazardous materials handling and underwater rescue services. The department is a member of the he National Fire Protection Association, Ohio State Firefighters Association, Wayne County Fire and Rescue Association, and Wayne County Fire Chiefs Association. In addition, the Chippewa Township Fire Department responds to nonemergency calls.
