Good Service, Good Quality for the price, Conveniently located

The only thing good about it was that the service was decent.The food was awful. The so-called sauerbraten was a tough, gristly, gamey tasting, overcooked cut of meat topped with a sauerbraten-like sauce, not cured in it for a day or two to obtain the flavor and texture of true sauerbraten. Even the spaetzles were flavorless. The wienerschnitzel was okay until you added the "sauce." It had an off taste to it that made me think that the stock from which it was made had turned slightly rancid. They even managed to mess up the sauerkraut ... it was SWEET!!One of the more unpleasant aspects of our dinner there was a smell rising from the carpet that smelled like dirty feet. The carpet didn't look dirty, but the smell was definitely coming from it as I bent over to pick up a dropped napkin and was nearly overcome by it.That and the quality of the food are a shame as they have an attractive dining room and are in a good location in which to do a good business.
