One of the keys to my Town and Country mini van broke, and to get a new key at the dealer runs about $250 .... insane!!! So I did some research, and purchased a blank key fob replacement off Amazon for about $10. I took the chip mechanism out of the old key fob, and put it into the new key fob. Now I had a brand new key, that just needed to be cut ... what could be easier then that?! Well, as I found out, almost nobody wants to cut a blank key that you bring in from the outside. I went to the local Ace Hardware, Home Depot, and even a locksmith .... but nobody would cut this key .... a $2-3 dollar job? Well, after talking with the local locksmith, he gave me the number to "A Windy City". I called up Mark from Windy City, and he couldn't believe my story. He told me "no problem", to come by his house and he'd do it for me, since he's a mobile operation, at it was late Saturday afternoon.
