My wife and I used to love going here to but not tonight....Service was horrible I've had better service in the high school lunch line. Come to think of it the food was better in high school as well. I will never go there again and if anyone ask me I will tell them not to go there as well....

Worst Mexican restaurant ever experienced. Served wrong special. Told would be a salad. Then refused a salad. Asked for guacamole; told not in computer. Another waiter brought someone else's meals to our table. Nobody brought check for 2 hours. Nobody asked about dessert, etc.Used to be our favorite restaurant. Never again.
I cannot say enough good things!! This place is very big and has great food and great friendly service. Food arrives super fast and free refills on chips and salsa. I LOVE IT !The decor and overall ambiance is beautiful.Very inexpensive. Can get a full meal for 2 for $15.00

Great Mexican food. I'm not crazy about the annoying birthday drum pounding but the food is awesome and you cannot beat the price. La Tonalteca, located on South DuPont Highway, officially opened for business May 31. It is in the same building as the former La Tolteca restaurant, although the two businesses are not connected. Months of extensive renovations preceded the event, renovations required after a fire nearly three years ago did extensive damage to the building. Manager Ricardo Martinez said many of the delays can be traced to some problems with contractors and the fact a craftsman from Jalisco, Mexico, was hired to create all the tables, chairs and wall decorations. There are 65 tables and booths in the dining area.
