Took my computer in for a diagnostic because it would not power up. They were to call me to let me know how much it would cost to repair. I understood that it would cost $45 for the diagnostic (which would go toward any repairs if needed or be the diagnostic fee if no repairs), which was reasonable. When they called me, the technician said I needed a new power supply which would be $69. OK fine. Then he said the whole repair would be $149 because there were files that needed cleaning up. NO! I said I would do that myself. He said he already did it and the most he would deduct would be $20. The problem I took it in for was no power, not cleaning up files. So, while I am happy they diagnosed my power problem, I feel scammed out of $60 that I did not authorize and they did before even calling me!
