- GastroenterologyUpon his return to the States, Dr. Lyford was stationed at the Munson Army Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas He completed his internal medicine residency as well as a fellowship in gastroenterology at Kansas University Hospital. Dr. Lyford moved to Casper, Wyoming, in 1974 where he practiced at the Wyoming Medical Center until his retirement in 1996. In addition to his duties on the hospital board, Dr. Lyford is a member of the Lions, a master gardener and a wood craftsman—having built kitchen cabinets for over 30 Habitat for Humanity homes. Dr. Lyford and his wife, Joyce, live on acreage outside of Glenrock, Wyoming.

He earned his Master’s and PhD degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY and started his career in healthcare with a private practice in Norfolk, NE. Matt was most recently the CEO of the Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) in Anchorage and, concurrent with this position, owned a consulting firm focused on assisting clinical practices, with education for acute psychiatric care. He spent a large amount of his professional career at the Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Alaska. Leaving private practice in 2001, he took on roles with ever-increasing degrees of leadership input and responsibility including Clinical Director/Staff Psychologist, Director of Behavioral Health, Assistant Administrator, and finally Chief Operating Officer, a position he held for seven years.

It all starts off with an office visit and an allergy test to help Dr. Freeman zero in on the exact cause of your stuffy nose, watery eyes or itchy rash. Once the specific allergens are identified a custom serum is created and injected over the course of months designed to decrease your immune response. Allergy testing and treatment is available at our clinics in Douglas and Casper.
