Founded in 2006, Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation is a public charity that helps raise funds and health care awareness. It works on advancing the humanitarian mission of Southeast Alabama Medical Center. It funds both present and future equipment, technology, facility expansion and program needs of the regional community. The program promotes health lifestyles and educated families on practical ways to make lives healthier. It also works with Southeast Alabama Medical Center for childhood obesity in the United States.
