- Family PracticeAfter completing her Masters degree at OSU in 2007, Kate moved back home to Cleveland and worked in family practice for the Cleveland Clinic. She returned to Columbus in 2008 to join Affiliated Dermatology. The best part of her job are her patients and coworkers. She has been providing skin exams and skin cancer detection for over 15 years in Dublin but has also traveled to Bellefontaine, Ohio. She manages most common skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis and provides skin cancer surveillance and detection for her patients.
- Emergency CareShe received her Bachelor of Science nursing degree from Wright State University in Dayton and has over 15 years of nursing experience. She started her nursing career in a coronary intensive care unit caring for critical patients. She furthered her experience in a level II trauma/emergency department and then in the PACU overseeing patients recovering from anesthesia. Continually working to advance her knowledge, she has always wanted to pursue an advanced nursing degree and obtained her Master of Science in nursing from the University of Cincinnati.
- Infectious DiseasesOur laboratory director, Dr. Richard Scarborough has expertise in tumors, including melanoma and cutaneous lymphoma. He has also had vast experience with the diagnosis of inflammatory and infectious diseases.
- Internal MedicineContinuing on this path, he applied and was accepted to Wright State University School of Medicine where he obtained his Medical Doctorate degree. During this 4 year period he found his love for skin and chose the wonderful and challenging field of Dermatology. He completed a short year of Internal Medicine at Kettering Hospital and then moved his family to the beautiful city of Richmond Virginia where they spent the next three years during his Dermatology Residency. Like most midwesterners though, he found the pull back to this area and family too great to resist and moved back to Dublin Ohio in 2009.
- ChemotherapyFor instance, Melanoma is a skin cancer that when treated early with local surgery can be cured. In advanced stages though it may require additional surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy.
