The Miami-Dade County Health Department administers the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. The program includes supplemental nutritional services for low- and moderate-income pregnant, breast-feeding and postpartum women. In addition, it caters to the needs of infants and children up to the age of 5. The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program offers counseling and educational solutions. The program provides referrals for health care and social services, such as immunization and substance abuse counseling and treatment. It also focuses on breast-feeding promotion and support solutions. The program offers several online referral forms. The Miami-Dade County Health Department is a part of the Florida Department of Health.
