Founded in 1876, Dodge City Fire Department is a full-service public agency that is located in Dodge City, Kan. The department works to protect the lives, property and environment of the city of Clayton from the threats and occurrences of emergencies. It offers fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation and emergency medical services. Dodge City Fire Department works with a team of more than 25 staff members, including firefighters. The department responds to over 500 service calls annually. It organizes programs for suppression, mediation, prevention and public education. Dodge City Fire Department administers training program related to emergency medical services, hazardous material, fire suppression and vehicle extrication. It is operated by the city of Dodge, which additionally manages police, municipality, human resources, utility and administration departments.
