The Surry County Health and Nutrition Center offers a range of medical solutions. Its division, Surry County Senior Services, has been providing in-home care since 1967 and offers occupational, speech and physical therapies. The division also provides a medication assistance program to assist seniors and low-income individuals. The Surry County Health and Nutrition Center offers breast-feeding promotion and support services, as well as the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program. The center includes a pediatric clinic that provides immunization, nutritional assessment, and health education and counseling services. The Surry County Health and Nutrition Center has an animal control section that is responsible for the prevention of environmental diseases.
