Unifi manufactures textiles, including polyester and nylon yarn. The company is one of the largest producers of textured yarn in the United States. In addition to texturing yarns, Unifi imports and distributes cotton and polyester/cotton spun yarns for the sweater and other apparel markets. The company sells yarns and fabrics for the automotive fabric, industrial, lining, ribbon, rope-and-cordage, shoelace, tarp, wall covering thread and other markets throughout the world. Headquartered in Dillon, S.C., Unifi is a privately owned company that employs nearly 400 people.
