Provided by YPmobileI have gone to Dillard House since 1970. I visit at least 2 times a year. I have driven from Gainesville Florida, and from Tallahassee Florida to Dillard just to have dinner. I visited on August 1st 2014 the food preparation was absolutely horrible. The food did not taste good it was served cold, not lukewarm... cold. I sent it back and they brought it back to me slightly warmed up. The flavors and tastes were awful. preparation was poor. The only image I can give you is that it was like going to a Mexican restaurant located in Russia and the chef was Chinese. I would really like to see the Dillard house go back to the recipes they used in the 1970 and 1980 they were remarkably unbelievably good. If they continue as they are they are they should close!!!

Provided by YP.comIf you love huge amounts of food being served non-stop, this is the place to go. They will even give you take-a-way boxes for the food you don't eat. First time we had encountered that in an all you can eat restaurant.
The first time we visited, we were overwhelmed with the amount of food that came at once. By the time we got to some of the dishes, they were already cold. The second time we went back, we immediately told our waiter not to bring everything out at once. He wasn't too happy with this but honored our request. Our meal was much more leisurely paced but we weren't impressed with the overall quality of the food. We went back a third time and at the end of the meal decided that for the few items that we truly enjoyed, they weren't worth the price or the long wait to get in.

Provided by YP.comI have been going here since I was a kid, and I love everything about it. My husband and I make a little escape to stay at their Inn, and to eat dinner and breakfast, whenever we get a chance. The food, friendliness and cleanliness is tops!
