State Directory- Custom TattoosEST. November 2005, now with multiple decades of tattoo experience. Joko started Altered Ink Tattoo in Dickinson, North Dakota after moving from the Chicagoland area. A small family owned business with the room to grow, for the right artists, offering spots for experienced and guest artists. Altered Ink Tattoo has been in a few different locations in town before finding a permanent building in 2013 located at 117 2nd Ave E. We’re a fun, high energy, professional atmosphere offering custom tattoos and piercings in a clean and sterile environment. All artist have certifications higher than the local requirements. All needles are sterile single use/disposable, we do have an autoclave in shop as well for instrument sterilization. We only use high quality products and materials from leading companies and reputable suppliers in our industry, piercing/tattoo needles, pigments, ointments, aftercare, jewelry, etc,.
- TattoosI’m the owner and main tattooer here. I’ve been tattooing since 1996. I’ve always been an artist, I’m interested in all kinda of art in my life, but fell in love with the thought of permanently putting art in skin during my middle school years. To one day do what we do now! After learning on my own, I finally got the opportunity for an apprenticeship at The Burning Image in Portage, IN to sharpen my skills and later to venture out on my own. Which landed me in Dickinson, North Dakota. Where I started Altered Ink Tattoo in Nov. 2005. Since then I’ve fallen in love with the western-edge. Tattooing our community is a pleasure! I do travel for tattoo conventions around the US entering my work in contests, winning awards for my work since 2009.
- Body PiercingI’ve been professionally piercing since 2020 but have always been infatuated by the body modification and body piercing industry since i was about 12 years old! Piercing has been an obsession and passion of mine for as long as i can remember. I love being able to give people confidence with a little bling! I work extremely hard to be sure that my clients get the best of the best piercing experience using only APP approved products and jewelry, proper sanitation/sterilization, and proper piercing techniques. Safe piercing is top of my list of importance to me! I’m excited to see everyone’s beautiful faces!
