General Info
We offer a variety of classes which are tailored to fit your family’s schedule and work obligations. Our earliest enrollment begins at 4 years of age and we have students over the age of 40 training with us. Classes are offered at different times throughout the week so that you can maximize on your goals and results. We believe that our Martial Art Development Program will build greater Character, Confidence, and Courage. Our Mission is to “Build Better Humans Before Great Champions“. American Martial Art academy is a great school. My son has been attending since January and he has learned a great deal. Coach Jim is very patient with the kids works very well with them.
Our son has been attending American Martial Art Academy since January and Coach Jim has done a wonderful job with him. We recommend anyone who is interested in their child learning Jiu jitsu to attend classes at American Martial Art Academy.
I started training at AMAA BJJ roughly six months ago. I wasn't sure what to expect at first since I didn't have any previous training, but that didn't make a difference at AMAA. Coach Fiore is very devoted to his team - on and off the mats. I started with the free weekly trial and was hooked. There are no gimmicks or smoke screens. You get top notch instruction the moment you walk through the door. I have a busy work schedule but AMAA has multple classes available throughout the week. The new gym is very clean with new mats and a proshop for all your BJJ wants and needs. I can't say enough about Coach Fiore. He is an amazing instructor/mentor and that is evident in his practices and life. I couldn't of made a better decision by picking this gym. Everyone is welcome and I am honored to say I train here. I highly recommend AMAA BJJ for all ages, male or female, as well as, different body types or sizes,

Professors Andre "Tim" Monteiro & Jean "Dalua" Cartagena are superb teachers, coaches, and mentors. They go above and beyond to make sure that every student receives individualized attention to ensure success & achievement. I have been a student under them for over 5 years and has been one of the most rewarding and life changing decisions that I have made. Very clean, safe, positive & encouraging environment, comfortable parent & kid area, free WIFI access, family-friendly and much more.

I actually found AMAA via Yellow Pages because I was searching for a martial arts school near our home. I enjoy Coach Jim's patience with the children. Really glad we chose his academy.

American Martial Art Academy BJJ has been an amazing experience for my daughter. She is part of a team and family and gets to experience personal growth. The level of attention from Jim Fiore to the group and each individual child is beyond anything I ever imagined. I'm impressed with the excitement and enthusiasm my daughter has every day of the week when it's time to go to class. We've tried several extra curricular activities and none of them have compared to this program. Even as "the new kid" in class, she was made to feel like she had as much strength and potential as everyone else. I can't say enough good things about American Martial Art Academy and Jim Fiore.

Jim Fiore is a master of his trade. He teaches to the level of the children instead of over them. This trait allows inexperienced martial artists both adults and children to thrive with success because he does not talk down but rather explains techniques in a way that is easy to receive. At American Martial Art Academy you get your money worth. Don't confuse this place with somewhere that just has children run around, you will see your child learn, remember techniques, and contune to growth each session they attend. Coach Fiore teaching level is second to none. If you live in the gulf coast area, this is the school to attend. At American Martial Art Academy you are just students, but part of a family that share like ideals that ensure success.
