Post-Newsweek Stations is a subsidiary of The Washington Post Company, a diversified media organization whose principal operations include newspaper and magazine publishing, broadcasting and cable television systems. The company is the owner and operator of six VHF (Very High Frequency) television stations. Post-Newsweek s NBC affiliate in Detroit is WDIV Channel 4. The company s NBC affiliate in Houston is KPRC Channel 2. Post Newsweek also has two network affiliates in Florida: WPLG Channel 10 in Miami and Fort Lauderdale an ABC affiliate; and WKMG Channel 6 in Orlando a CBS affiliate. Post-Newsweek also owns and operates WJXT Channel 4 an independent station in Jacksonville, Fla. The company s sixth station is KSAT Channel 12, the ABC affiliate in San Antonio.
