PHILOSOPHY OF CARE: Dr. Michael Perry believes in patient-centered care that respects individual patient preferences and values. He desires to establish a strong doctor-patient relationship based on trust, personal engagement with each patient, and rapid individual responses to patient needs and requests. In addition, Dr. Perry feels it is essential that each patient fully understands their disease process and treatment options. With his extensive knowledge and training in all phases of vascular and endovascular surgery, he is confident in his ability to provide the most effective therapies for patients with vascular diseases. BACKGROUND: Dr. Perry grew up in Kansas, where he enjoyed playing baseball and attended college on a baseball scholarship. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas before he and his wife moved to Detroit in 2011 when he began medical school at Wayne State University. Dr. Perry then completed a General Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Wayne State University and is excited to continue working in the Detroit community, which has been integral to his education and training as a physician. When Dr. Perry is not seeing patients, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife and kids.
