BTD Manufacturing offers stamping, fabrication, tubing, welding, machining and tooling. The company creates new designs, improves existing designs and develops manufacturing processes. Its skills include designing, improving existing designs and creating innovative manufacturing processes that enhances products and save money. The company was established as Bismarck Tool and Die in Bismarck, N.D., as a job shop to design and manufacture dies, fixtures and special machines. In 1991, Bismarck Tool and Die merged with MN-Kota Stamping to become BTD Manufacturing. BTD Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Otter Tail Corporation, a diversified corporation with interests in the electric, health services, manufacturing, plastics and food ingredient processing. BTD Manufacturing maintains its headquarters in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
