Incorporated as Bedding Manufacturers Associates in 1956, the Bemco licensing group has more than 50 trademarks and patents in the United States, patented one of the first pillow-top mattress in 1961, introduced one of the industry's first health-oriented posture bedding product in 1977 and created one of the first mattresses designed specifically for athletes in 1987. The company s mattress collections include Advanced Sleep Technology, a posture zone suspension system; Sleep Dimensions for luxury and support; Posture; MemoryRest; and the USA Gymnast collection, which is a favorite among athletes. Bemco manufactures products in a number of locations, including Philadelphia; Dunn, N.C.; Meridian, Miss.; Springfield, Ill.; Syracuse, N.Y. The company also has overseas plants in Seoul, South Korea and Taipei, Taiwan.
