The Dance Place, located in Des Moines, IA, provides intellectually stimulating, physically challenging and age-appropriate technical dance training in a creative environment. We emphasize the development of the students' sense of compassion and community-minded behaviors, as well as providing opportunities for them to develop a choreographic voice with dramatic context. Types of dance and exercise classes offered include: • Ballet • Tap • Ballroom • Hip Hop • Jazz • Pointe • Adult fitness and yoga • Tumbling Dance students may have the opportunity to dance for special events here at The Dance Place and in the community, including The Des Moines Art Center, The Historical Building, Iowa State Fair, VSA of Iowa and the New Visions Dance Project.
