I have brought in old pocketwatches with broken balance staffs, busted hairsprings.. ones that other people say couldn't be repaired, and every time John has not only fixed them, but adjusted them to hold the best and most accurate time. John's prices are very affordable - at around $100 for a cleaning, $25 for a new crystal, which is average for others here in Des Moines. With John's professional experience, and the excellent service he gives, I rate John to be the best watchmaker in the city of Des Moines.
