Dr. Holtze did a wonderful job with a facial lesion ~ he explained everything and what to expect after I left his office. People need to give doctors second chances if they are not happy with the visit. I will definately go back to Dr. Holtze.

My mother had a history of skin cancer and had dementia when she moved to Des Moines and I became her caregiver. Dr. Holtz not only did a terrific job communicating with her and cluing in to her personality, his skill was terrific. I have begun going to him, too.

I have been a patient of Dr. Holtze for 7 years. He removed a patch of skin cancer from my face and did a great job. He is very professional and though he may not interact well. His skill level as a Doctor is why I continue to go back to him. Whoever left the bad feedback is obviously going to Doctors for attention rather than healing.

I would recommend Dr. Holtze. I saw him for a skin rash that comes and goes and was not present at the time I was in the office. This made it more difficult for me. I wanted to be able to say, "look," but there was nothing to show him. Dr. Holtz took the time to listen to me and asked questions. I felt assured that he had a thorough understanding of my symptoms. He was clear in his explanation of what he believed it to be and also in his instructions for treatment and follow up. Although he was not as personable as my internist, he was very pleasant and professional.
I do not recommend visiting with this doctor. I found him very umpleasant. During my first visit, he spoke to the nurse and not directly to me. He didn't explain much, as if he was dealing with a kid who wouldn't understand what he had to say. This was my very first and it will be the very last one I visit with such a Medieval man.
